Hail Damage Inspection and Repair
After an Allen storm we walk every slope, mark each hit, and photograph it, with drone photos of the roof from above. You get a clear picture of whether the damage is real and how widespread it is.
Allen roofs have taken several big hail storms in the last few years, and many of the homes under them were built in the 1980s and 1990s boom.
Allen was a small farm town of about 1,900 people as late as 1970. It was incorporated in 1953, and once US 75 was built through it in the 1960s the town began to grow, then turned into a full suburb through the 1980s and 1990s. The 2020 census counted about 104,600 residents, sitting between Plano to the south and McKinney to the north.
That timeline shapes the roofs. A large part of Allen was built during that 1980s and 1990s wave, so many houses are now well past their original roof and some are on their second. Newer construction filled in after 2000, especially toward the edges of the city, and those homes are reaching their first replacement.
Hail is what usually starts the conversation in Allen. Since 2023 the city has seen several storms with stones big enough to damage shingles, and a lot of homeowners are not sure whether their roof was one of the ones hit. That is the question our free inspection answers.

If you decide to file with your insurer, our inspection photos give you documentation to start from. The claim itself stays between you and your insurance company, and when a scope is approved we replace the roof from that approved scope.
Nearly every Allen roof we see is asphalt shingle. On a replacement here, many homeowners ask about a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle, and we will price it beside a standard architectural shingle so the choice is yours.
Not sure if the last storm reached your street? Book an inspection. It costs nothing, and you keep the photos either way.
Everything else we do is on the services page.
Storm reports compiled from National Weather Service data list hen egg sized hail, about 2 inches, near Allen on April 20, 2023, golf ball sized hail on May 19, 2023, and hail about 2.25 inches, tennis ball size, near Allen on March 25, 2025. Earlier, on March 24, 2019, local TV showed hail piled in Allen neighborhoods.
Three damaging storms in about two years means some Allen roofs were hit more than once. When we inspect, we look at the age and pattern of the damage, not just whether there are marks, and we tell you what we think we are looking at.
On an Allen house from the late 1980s or 1990s, we often find the second roof installed over decking that is now thirty-plus years old, with roof vents and pipe boots that have been baking in the sun just as long. A replacement is the time to deal with all of it, and we list those items on the written estimate so nothing is a surprise.
Attic ventilation on houses of that era was often minimal. We check it during the inspection, because a hot, poorly vented attic shortens the life of whatever shingle goes on next.
If your Allen roof is fine, we tell you and send the photos. If it has damage, we explain what we found, and if you choose to file with your insurer, you do that directly; we provide the photos. If the roof simply needs replacing because of age, we write you an estimate and you decide in your own time.
Financing is available on approved credit through a third-party lending partner for Allen homeowners who want it.
Storm reports list hail of about 2 inches near Allen in April 2023 and about 2.25 inches in March 2025, both large enough to damage shingles. The way to know about your own roof is a close inspection, which we do for free with photos.
Yes. Allen saw several damaging hail events in about two years, so some roofs were hit more than once. We look at the age and pattern of the damage during the inspection and explain what we see.
You do. The claim is between you and your insurance company. We inspect and photograph the roof, provide those photos, and, if a scope is approved, replace the roof from your adjuster's approved scope.
The decking, roof vents, pipe boots and attic ventilation. On houses from that era those often need attention too, and we list them on the written estimate before work starts.
That is your choice. Many Allen homeowners ask about a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle because of how often hail comes through. We price it beside a standard architectural shingle so you can compare.

Now the main part. My roof looks great and he showed me the roof with a drone to show the before and after.
